They fell just short of the Bulldogs by a score of 74-71. Boles has struggled against Cooper recently, as their matchup on Wednesday was their eighth consecutive lost matchup.
When it comes to explaining why Boles lost, one person who can't be blamed is Jonathan Cruthird. Despite the final result, he dropped a double-double on 32 points and 12 rebounds. That was a full 45.1% of Boles' points, marking the third time in a row he's earned more than a third of the team's points. The team also got some help courtesy of Zion Mcfadden, who scored 12 points along with seven rebounds and six steals.
Boles' loss ended a three-game streak of wins at home and dropped them to 15-10. As for Cooper, they pushed their record up to 10-4 with that victory, which was their fifth straight on the road.
Boles will square off against Alba-Golden at 8:00 p.m. on Friday. As for Cooper, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Fruitvale at 8:00 p.m. on Friday. Fruitvale is coming into the game on a six-game losing streak.
