The St. Andrew's Episcopal Saints are taking a road trip to face off against the St. Joseph Catholic Bruins at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Both squads will be entering this one on the heels of a big victory.

The team relied heavily on Cash Myrick, who scored two runs while going 1-for-3. St. Andrew's Episcopal is undefeated when Myrick posts two or more runs, but 4-5 otherwise. Stone Myrick also deserves some recognition as he hit his first double of the season.
While St. Joseph Catholic didn't have the best season last year (they finished 14-22), it's starting to look like those struggles are a thing of the past. They blew past Loyd Star 14-1 on Monday. The victory was familiar territory for the Bruins, who have now won three matches in a row.
Brandon Burkes was a major factor no matter where he played. On the mound, he didn't allow a single earned run and allowed only two hits over four innings pitched. Burkes was also big at the plate, scoring a run and stealing Two bases. while going 2-for-2. That's the most hits he has posted since back in March of 2024.
In other batting news, Jackson Winans was excellent, scoring two runs while going 2-for-3. John Dean D'Antonio was another key player, scoring a run and stealing a base while going 2-for-3.
St. Joseph Catholic always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .704. That's the best OBP they've posted all season.
St. Joseph Catholic's record now sits at 9-3. As for St. Andrew's Episcopal, they are on a roll lately: they've won three of their last four games. That's provided a nice bump to their 8-5 record this season.
Tuesday's contest might come down to which pitcher can control the ball better. St. Andrew's Episcopal has hit smart this season, having averaged an OBP of .442. However, it's not like St. Joseph Catholic struggles in that department as they've averaged .495. With both teams so capable at the plate, fans should be ready for an impressive hitting performance.
St. Andrew's Episcopal couldn't quite get it done against St. Joseph Catholic in their previous matchup back in February of 2024 as they fell 5-2. Can St. Andrew's Episcopal avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
