It was a good run, but the Kokomo Wildkats unfortunately witnessed the end of their three-game winning streak on Saturday. They suffered a tough 77-55 loss at the hands of Fishers. The defeat unfortunately continues a disappointing trend for Kokomo in their matchups with Fishers: they've now lost four in a row.
When it comes to explaining why Kokomo lost, one person who can't be blamed is Karson Rogers. Despite the final result, he scored 17 points along with 6 rebounds. Another player making a difference was Flory Bidunga, who scored 4 points along with 6 assists and 5 rebounds.
Fishers was led to victory by Cooper Zachary and Keenan Garner. Zachary scored 13 points along with 6 assists and 3 steals, while Garner scored 19 points along with 5 rebounds and 3 steals. The game was Garner's sixth in a row with at least ten points. Nathan Baker was another key contributor, scoring 8 points.
Kokomo's defeat dropped their record down to 4-2. As for Fishers, the win for they keeps them at an undefeated 6-0.
Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Kokomo is on the road again on Friday and play against Marion at 7:30 p.m. on December 15th. Marion knows how to get points on the board -- the squad has finished with flashy point totals in its past five matchups -- so hopefully Kokomo likes a good challenge. As for Fishers, they will head out on the road to face off against Hamilton Southeastern at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. Hamilton Southeastern will have to bring their A-game into this one, as they are staring down a pretty big deficit in the MaxPreps Indiana Rankings (they are ranked 89th, while Fishers is ranked first).
