Volleyball Recap: Lutheran South Falls Short Against Ranked Lindbergh

Lutheran South faced Lindbergh in a battle between two of the state's top teams on Wednesday. The Lancers fell 3-1 to the Flyers. The Lancers' defeat signaled the end of their four-game winning streak.

Loss or not, Lutheran South got some senior leadership from Malachi Seying and Nathan Green. Seying had 26 digs and four assists, while Green had 19 digs. Seying is on a roll when it comes to digs, as he's now had 11 or more in each of the last nine games he's played.

Lindbergh was led to victory by Alex Ahrens and Tyler White. Ahrens had 27 assists and 11 digs, while White had 15 digs. Those 11 digs gave Ahrens a new career-high.

Lutheran South's defeat was their first in the district, dropping their district record down to 4-1 and their overall record down to 21-8-2. As for Lindbergh, the victory (which was their seventh in a row) raised their record to 28-2.

As of now, neither Lutheran South nor the Flyers have any future games scheduled.
