Wheelersburg added to the longest winning streak in Southern Ohio II this week by beating Minford, 42-13. The win marks eighth in a row for the the Pirates.
Valley took down Northwest 54-12 last week, the largest margin of any game.
Wheelersburg's offense cannot be tamed this season and the Pirates feature the season leaders in passing, rushing and receiving yards. Eddie Miller III has thrown for 1,815 yards and 23 touchdowns this season, while Tyler Claxon has 49 catches for 714 yards. Miller III also leads the league in rushing with 732 yards.
The top two teams in the league will face off this week when first place Wheelersburg takes on second place Valley. Wheelersburg beat the Falcons last week, while the Indians defeated the Mohawks.
Two of the top units in Southern Ohio II will face off this week when Rob Woodward's team takes on Valley. The Pirates' offense has scored 374 points this season, good for No. 1 in the league, while the Indians have allowed only 102 on the year.
Wheelersburg's Miller III is within 185 passing yards of surpassing 2,000 on the season coming into this week's game against Valley.

Wheelersburg made the biggest leap in the national rankings this week, rising to 1,247 from 1,649. The improvement was largely due to a 42-13 victory over Brent Daniels' team last week.
