Two teams were on the hunt for playoff glory, but unfortunately for the Fellowship Christian Paladins, they weren't the ones who walked away with it. They were beaten by the Bears 49-17 on Friday. Fellowship Christian's loss signaled the end of their seven-game winning streak.
Although Fellowship Christian took the loss, they still got scores from Evan Haynes and Cj Givers.
Caden Mcgatha continued his habit of posting crazy stat lines for Pierce County, rushing for 280 yards and five touchdowns while picking up 7.8 yards per carry, and also throwing for 73 yards and a touchdown on only six passes.
Fellowship Christian's loss dropped their record down to 10-3. As for Pierce County, their victory was their fifth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 12-1.
Fellowship Christian does not have any more games scheduled as of now. Pierce County will face off against Fitzgerald at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Fitzgerald's defense has only allowed 14.5 points per game this season, so Pierce County's offense will have their work cut out for Pierce County.
