If the MaxPreps state rankings hold true, the near future looks bright for North Callaway. On Friday they take on Clopton/Elsberry at 7:00 PM. The two teams are sauntering into the matchup backed by comfortable wins in their prior games.
North Callaway was the big favorite in their most recent match, and for good reason. Everything went their way against Tipton last Friday as they made off with a 35-12 win. No one had a better game by the numbers than senior Jordan Delashmutt, who brought his A game into the match. He rushed for 63 yards and 2 touchdowns.
Meanwhile, Clopton/Elsberry took their contest against Missouri Military Academy by a conclusive 38-6 score. Clopton/Elsberry was expected to win, but the margin was definitely larger than the state rankings had forecast.
Their wins bumped North Callaway to 2-0 and Clopton/Elsberry to 1-1. Keep an eye on the score for this one : both teams put up some lofty point totals in their previous games, so things might heat up even more when they meet up.
