Softball Recap: Westlake Has No Trouble Against V.B. Glencoe Charter

After having lost a blowout in their previous game against Vinton, Westlake was happy to have turned things around on Friday. Everything went their way against the V.B. Glencoe Charter Gators as the Westlake Rams made off with a 19-6 win. The result was nothing new for the Rams, who have now won five matchups by ten runs or more so far this season.

Westlake is on a roll lately: they've won four of their last five contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 7-8 record this season. Those victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 14.0 runs over those games. The loss snapped V.B. Glencoe Charter's winning streak at three games and leaves them with a 3-2 record.

Westlake has already played their next game, a 10-4 victory against Acadiana Renaissance Charter Academy on the 15th. As for V.B. Glencoe Charter, they are taking a road trip to challenge Reeves at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday. V.B. Glencoe Charter has given up an average of 9.6 runs per game this season, so hopefully the team got some pitching drills in this week.
