The Grace Academy Lions will challenge the Charlotte S Stampede at 4:00 p.m. on Friday. Grace Academy will aim to continue their three-game streak of scoring more runs each contest than the last.
Grace Academy's pitching crew heads into the match hoping to repeat the dominance they displayed on Thursday. They were the clear victors by a 15-0 margin over Union Preparatory. The Lions might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won seven games by nine runs or more this season.
Aiden Morris looked comfortable as he kept things locked down with no earned runs or hits over four innings pitched. He has been consistent : he hasn't given up more than two hits any time he's pitched this season.

On the hitting side, the team relied heavily on Brody Mcnamara, who scored two runs and stole three bases while going 2-for-3. Those three stolen bases gave him a new career-high. The team also got some help courtesy of Fletcher Owens, who scored two runs while getting on base in three of his four plate appearances.
Grace Academy always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .719. That's the best OBP they've posted all season.
Meanwhile, Charlotte S came up short against South Stanly on Thursday and fell 7-3. That's two games in a row now that the Stampede have lost by exactly four runs.
Bowen Macy was cooking despite his team's loss, going 3-for-4 with one triple and one run. That triple marked the first that he hit this season. Jandel Rodriguez was another key player, scoring a run and stealing a base while going 1-for-3.
Grace Academy is on a roll lately: they've won seven of their last nine contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 8-4 record this season. The victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 4.0 runs on average over those games. This is the second loss in a row for Charlotte S and nudges their season record down to 7-10.
Charlotte S' pitching crew has a crucial task ahead of them: Grace Academy hasn't had any issues making contact this season, having earned a batting average of .339. It's a different story for Charlotte S, though, as they've only averaged .214. Will they be able to contain Grace Academy's hitters?
Grace Academy might still be hurting after the 8-0 loss they got from Charlotte S in their previous meeting last Wednesday. Can Grace Academy avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
