The Franklin Flyers will square off against the Blue Hill Bobcats at 3:00 p.m. on Friday. The two teams are sauntering into the matchup backed by comfortable wins in their prior games.
Having struggled with four losses in a row, Franklin turned things around against Wilcox-Hildreth on Friday. They were the clear victors by a 26-6 margin over the Falcons.

Calvin Carraher continued his habit of posting crazy stat lines, rushing for 159 yards and two touchdowns, while also throwing for 102 yards and one TD. He is becoming a predictor of Franklin's success: when he posts at least two rushing touchdowns the team is 2-1 (and 0-3 when he doesn't). Caiden Peterman was another key player, rushing for 77 yards and one score.
Franklin didn't go easy on the quarterback and picked off two passes before the game was over. The picks came courtesy of Peterman and Carraher.
Meanwhile, Blue Hill got their first taste of in-conference action on Friday and they started things off strong. They simply couldn't be stopped as they easily beat Axtell 58-6. The game was the first time the Bobcats have beaten the Wildcats on their field since September 23, 2016.
Franklin better keep an eye on Jack Canterberry. He was instrumental in Blue Hill's win, rushing for 166 yards and six TDs while picking up 10.4 yards per carry. Thanks to that big game, Canterberry is now up to 13 rushing touchdowns on the season.
Blue Hill was unstoppable on the ground and finished the game with 222 rushing yards. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now rushed for at least 215 rushing yards in five consecutive matchups.
Franklin's win was their first in the district, bumping their district record up to 1-2 and their overall record up to 2-4. As for Blue Hill, their victory bumped their record up to an identical 2-4.
Friday's game might be decided on the ground. Franklin has been excellent on the ground this season, having averaged 155.5 rushing yards per game. However, it's not like Blue Hill struggles in that department as they've been averaging 237.5 rushing yards. There's a good chance Friday's contest turns into a tough fight on the ground.
Everything came up roses for Franklin against Blue Hill in their previous meeting back in October of 2024, as the squad secured a 58-20 win. In that matchup, the Flyers amassed a halftime lead of 38-14, an impressive feat they'll look to repeat on Friday.
