The South View Tigers will head out on the road to face off against the Purnell Swett Rams at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. South View is strutting in with some hitting muscle as they've averaged 7 runs per game this season.
Having struggled with three losses in a row, South View turned things around against Jack Britt on Friday. They never let the Buccaneers get on the board and left with a 3-0 victory.

The result came thanks to David Ramsey's shutout, as he gave up just two hits. He has been nothing but reliable on the mound: he hasn't tossed less than five strikeouts in ten consecutive appearances.
At the plate, Logan Read was excellent, going 2-for-3 with one run, one double, and one RBI. The team also got some help courtesy of Juan Mckoy, who went 1-for-2 with one run and one RBI.
Meanwhile, Purnell Swett entered their tilt with Seventy-First on Monday with two consecutive wins, and they'll enter their next game with three. They blew past the Falcons 11-1. Considering the Rams have won eight matchups by more than six runs this season, Monday's blowout was nothing new.
Grayson Brooks and Camden Hunt did most of the damage at the plate: Brooks went a perfect 2-for-2 with two stolen bases, two runs, and two RBI, while Hunt went 2-for-3 with three stolen bases and three runs. That's the most hits Brooks has posted since back in March. Another player making a difference was Johnny Jackson, who went a perfect 1-for-1 with two runs, one stolen base, and one double.
Purnell Swett was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .385. They are a perfect 5-0 when they post a batting average of .375 or better.
Purnell Swett's win was their third straight at home, which pushed their record up to 13-10. The home victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 10.3 runs over those games. As for South View, their record now sits at 13-11.
The pitchers for both teams better look sharp on Tuesday as neither team is afraid to steal. South View has been swiping bases left and right this season, having averaged 3.7 stolen bases per game. However, it's not like Purnell Swett struggles in that department as they've been averaging 3.1 stolen bases. The only question left is which team can snag more.
South View took their win against Purnell Swett when the teams last played on April 9th by a conclusive 10-4 score. Will the Tigers repeat their success, or do the Rams have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
