While Spring put up plenty of runs on Friday, the same can't be said for Westfield. The Lions blew past the Mustangs 24-0. The win was nothing new for the Lions as they're now sitting on nine straight.
Brylynn Rickert was a major factor no matter where she played. She tossed three innings while giving up no earned runs off one hit. She has been nothing but reliable on the mound: she hasn't given up more than one hit in four consecutive appearances. She was also stellar in the batter's box, going a perfect 3-for-3 with one triple, two RBI, and one run.
In other batting news, Spring got a massive performance out of Maleah Grounds, who fired off three stolen bases, four doubles, and three runs while going 4-for-4. The dominant performance also gave Grounds a new career-high in RBI (four). Hailey Jones-Calais was another key player, getting on base in all four of her plate appearances with three stolen bases, three runs, and three RBI.
