Big Sandy suffered their biggest defeat yet this season on Tuesday. They were dealt a 70-28 loss at the hands of McEwen. The result shouldn't come as a shock considering that's the fewest points Big Sandy has scored all season.
The losing side was boosted by Garrett Cagle, who scored 12 points. Another player making a difference was Seth Green, who scored five points.
In what's become a running theme this season, Houston County gave their fans yet another huge victory on Tuesday. They simply couldn't be stopped as they easily beat Waverly Central 63-36 on the road. The victory was nothing new for Houston County as they're now sitting on four straight.
Big Sandy dropped their record down to 3-10 with that loss, which was their ninth straight on the road. As for Houston County, their win bumped their record up to 11-4.
Big Sandy might still be hurting after the 66-45 defeat they got from Houston County when the teams last played back in January of 2023. Can Big Sandy avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
