The Beachside Barracudas entered their tilt with the Orange Park Raiders with eight consecutive wins but they'll enter their next game with nine. Beachside came out on top against Orange Park by a score of 52-41 on Wednesday.
Beachside's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Madilyn (Madi) Ray led the charge by dropping a double-double on 14 points and 11 blocks. The game was Ray's fifth in a row with at least ten points. Morgan Cremen was another key contributor, scoring 15 points along with five assists and four steals.
Beachside's win bumped their record up to 13-3. As for Orange Park, they have been struggling recently, as they've lost four of their last five matches, which put a noticeable dent in their 9-5 record this season.
Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Beachside will take on Creekside at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. Orange Park won't have much time to rest: their next game is against Mandarin at 7:30 p.m. on January 11th. Hopefully Mandarin focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up 19 back in December of 2023.
