Foran and Sacred Heart Academy are an even 5-5 against one another since April of 2015, but likely not for long. The Lions are taking a road trip to square off against Sacred Heart Academy at 4:00 p.m. on Friday. The teams are on pretty different trajectories at the moment (Foran has 17 straight wins, Sacred Heart Academy has three straight losses), but none of that matters once you're on the field.
Foran's pitching crew heads into the match hoping to repeat the dominance they displayed on Tuesday. They were the clear victors by a 17-0 margin over Lauralton Hall. The result was nothing new for the Lions, who have now won ten games by seven runs or more so far this season.

Abigail Corris made a big impact no matter where she played. On the mound, she kept things locked down with no earned runs or hits while striking out 11 over five innings pitched. She has been nothing but reliable: she hasn't tossed less than eight strikeouts in 16 consecutive appearances. She was also big at the plate, going 3-for-4 with three RBI and one triple. That's the most hits she has posted since back in May of 2024.
In other batting news, Julia O'Connell was incredible, going 2-for-3 with one home run, three RBI, and two runs. That home run marked the first that she has launched this season. Nyla Jaser was another key player, going a perfect 2-for-2 with two stolen bases, one run, and one RBI.
Foran always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .583. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Lauralton Hall only posted an OBP of .167.
Meanwhile, Sacred Heart Academy lost 15-3 to Shelton on Wednesday.
Foran's victory was their 11th straight at home dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 17-0. Those home wins came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 1.0 run on average over those games. As for Sacred Heart Academy, their defeat dropped their record down to 3-12.
Foran was able to grind out a solid victory over Sacred Heart Academy in their previous meeting back in April, winning 5-2. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Lions since the team won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
