While Walnut Ridge's win against Rivercrest wasn't quite the blowout it was the last time the pair played, they still came out on top. The Walnut Ridge Bobcats came out on top in a nail-biter against the Rivercrest Colts on Tuesday, sneaking past 2-1. The victory continues a trend for the Bobcats in their matchups with the Colts: they've now won three in a row.

JACE BLAKE made a big impact while hitting and pitching. On the mound, he tossed two innings while giving up no earned runs off two hits. He has been consistent recently: he hasn't given up more than two hits in four consecutive appearances. He was also solid in the batter's box, scoring a run and stealing Two bases. while going 3-for-4.

BLAKE wasn't the only one making solid contact as three players wound up with at least one hit. One of them was JAXTON BRADY, who scored a run and stole a base while going 2-for-4.

Walnut Ridge's win bumped their record up to 7-3. As for Rivercrest, they dropped their record down to 0-4 with the defeat, which was their third straight at home.

Looking ahead, Walnut Ridge will host Piggott at 4:30 p.m. on Thursday. As for Rivercrest, they are taking a road trip to challenge Osceola at 4:30 p.m. on Wednesday. Rivercrest is facing Osceola at the right time seeing as Osceola is stuck on a three-game losing streak.
