If Mingus wanted to avenge their loss from the last time they played Joseph City, they should've done a better job of containing Jaydiana Kinlicheenie. The Wildcats had just enough and edged out the Marauders 2-1 thanks in part to Kinlicheenie, who had five aces and three digs. She is on a roll when it comes to aces, as she's now served two or more in each of the last three games she's played.

Joseph City's first win this season bumped their record up to 1-3. As for Mingus, their loss was their first of the season and makes their record 2-1.

Joseph City didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next matchup, a 3-0 defeat against North Valley Christian Academy on the 29th. As for Mingus, they have also already played their next contest, a 3-0 loss against Campo Verde on the 29th.
