University Academy Charter has enjoyed the comforts of home their last three games, but now they'll head out on the road. They will square off against the Van Horn Falcons at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Both teams took a loss in their last game, so they'll have plenty of motivation to get the 'W'.
It's never fun to lose, and it's even less fun to lose 62-31, which was the final score in University Academy Charter's tilt against the Guardians on Friday. While losing is never fun, University Academy Charter can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Missouri basketball rankings (they are ranked 552nd, while the Guardians are ranked 138th).
Meanwhile, after soaring to 73 points the game before, Van Horn were a bit more limited in their matchup on Friday. They were beaten by Summit Christian Academy 54-23. The result shouldn't come as a shock considering that's the fewest points Van Horn has scored all season.
University Academy Charter dropped their record down to 1-19 with that defeat, which was their seventh straight at home. As for Van Horn, their loss ended a three-game streak of away wins and brought them to 6-15.
University Academy Charter suffered a grim 74-48 defeat to the Falcons when the teams last played last Friday. Can University Academy Charter avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
