The matchup was Garris' third in a row with at least ten points. The team also got some help courtesy of Sha'yah Goba, who scored nine points.
Mount Vernon's victory was their 11th straight at home dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 7-4. Those victories were due in large part to their offensive dominance across that stretch, as they averaged 71.1 points per game. As for Wilson Academy, their loss ended a three-game streak of away wins and brought them to 10-2.
Mount Vernon will take on Mainland in a holiday battle at 6:00 p.m. on December 21st at. Mainland is coming into the match hot, having won their last three games. Wilson Academy will be staying on the road on Friday to face off against Varsity Opponent at 7:00 p.m. on December 15th.
