The Clover Blue Eagles will challenge the Indian Land Warriors at 7:45 p.m. on Friday. Keep an eye on the score for this one: the two teams posted some lofty point totals in their previous games.
Clover took a loss when they played away from home last Tuesday, but their home fans gave them all the motivation they needed on Friday. They enjoyed a cozy 55-40 win over Northwestern.

Clover's success was spearheaded by the efforts of Ashtin Feemster, who posted 13 points, and Owen Galeota, who went 5 of 6 on his way to 14 points. Those 13 points gave Feemster a new career-high. Carson Pinti was another key player, putting up four points and four steals.
Meanwhile, Indian Land had already won four in a row (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 19.8 points) and they went ahead and made it five on Tuesday. They walked away with a 63-53 victory over the Copperheads. Given the Warriors' advantage in MaxPreps' South Carolina basketball rankings (they are ranked sixth, while the Copperheads are ranked 91st), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.
Indian Land's win came from a few key players Clover will need to keep an eye on. One of the most notable was Sequel Patterson, who went 8 for 17 en route to 17 points and five assists. Another player making a difference was Michael Jones, who scored 14 points and three steals.
Indian Land's win was their seventh straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 21-2. The wins came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 66.7 points per game. As for Clover, they have been performing well recently as they've won four of their last five matches, which provided a nice bump to their 15-8 record this season.
Rebounding is likely to be a big factor in this contest: Clover has been crashing the rebounds this season, having averaged 28.7 boards per game. However, it's not like Indian Land struggles in that department as they've been averaging 25.7 rebounds. With both teams battling to corral missed shots, we'll see if one team can grab an edge.
Clover came up short against Indian Land in their previous matchup back in January, falling 52-41. Can Clover avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
