The James Buchanan Rockets will head out on the road to face off against the Shippensburg Greyhounds at 4:15 p.m. on Thursday. James Buchanan is strutting in with some hitting muscle as they've averaged 7 runs per game this season.

James Buchanan fought the good fight in their extra-innings contest against West Perry on Tuesday but wound up with a less-than-desirable result. They fell just short of the Mustangs by a score of 8-6. Rockets fans who chose to attend the game sure picked the wrong one: it was the first time the team's lost against the Mustangs since on Tuesday.

Jimmy Bell made the most of his time at bat despite the final result and scored a run and stole a base while getting on base in four of his five plate appearances. Hayden Sanchez also deserves some recognition as he hit his first triple of the season.

Meanwhile, in Tuesday's Canine Competition, Shippensburg didn't have enough. They took a 7-4 hit to the loss column at the hands of Big Spring on Tuesday.

James Buchanan's record now sits at 4-2. As for Shippensburg, they dropped their record down to 1-5 with the defeat, which was their fourth straight at home dating back to last season.

James Buchanan took their win against Shippensburg in their previous matchup back in April of 2024 by a conclusive 7-1 score. Do the Rockets have another victory up their sleeve, or will the Greyhounds turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
