It can be hard to translate regular season success to the playoffs, but Oceanside had no problem doing just that  on Saturday. They came out on top against the Escondido Charter White Tigers by a score of  4-1. The  victory made it back-to-back  wins for Oceanside.
  Nayeli Adame spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: she surrendered only one earned run on seven hits. She has been nothing but reliable: she hasn't  pitched less than five  innings in six consecutive pitching appearances.
 At the plate,  the team  relied heavily on  Lia Nance, who  scored two  runs and  stole three bases while  getting on base  in three of her four plate appearances. She is on a roll when it comes to  stolen bases, as she's  now  stolen  at least one in the last nine games she's  played. Another player making a difference was  Nalia Nuanez, who  scored two  runs and  stole a base while going 2-for-3.
 On Escondido Charter's side,  Lilly Harper was huge no matter where she played even without the win. On the mound, she  struck out six batters over  seven innings while giving up just two earned  (and two unearned) runs off   four  hits. Harper was also big at the plate,  going 2-for-4 with a  double and  an  RBI.
 In other batting news,  Zaliyah Jones was cooking despite her team's loss,   scoring a  run and  stealing two bases while going 2-for-4.
 Oceanside has  been performing  incredibly well recently as they've  won nine of their last ten matches,  which provided a nice bump to their 19-6-1 record  this season. As for Escondido Charter,  this is  the second loss in a row for them and  nudges their season record down to 22-7.
