Eli Dukes Turns in Season-Best Performance
On Friday, Palma had to settle for second even though Eli Dukes put up the best numbers he has all season. Dukes rushed for 271 yards and two touchdowns while picking up 10.8 yards per carry, good enough to set a new career-high in rushing yards in the process. He showed off some serious burst, turning on the afterburners on one carry for 58 yards.
Aptos's probably not too fond of Dukes given he always seems to get the better of them. Dukes rushed for 115 yards and three touchdowns on only 12 carries the last time he and the Mariners duked it out back in October of 2023.

On Thursday, Soquel got the W thanks in part to Hudson Summerrill playing the best football he has all season. Summerrill picked up 88 receiving yards and a touchdown. The bulk of those receiving yards came from one huge play: a catch that gained an incredible 55 yards.
The victory was the fourth in a row for Soquel, bringing their record for this year to 4-2. Summerrill and Soquel will be playing in front of their home fans against Everett Alvarez at 7:30 p.m. on Thursday.
