The regular season was a success, but the real challenge begins now, in the postseason. Meade will square off against Syracuse at 6:00 PM on Friday. After the teams both made easy work of their previous opponents, one of them is set up to suffer a discouraging change of fortune.
Meade's four-game streak of losses has finally come to an end. Everything came up roses for them against Sublette last Friday as the team secured a 49-14 win. Meade found their leader in underclassman sophomore Hunter Davis, who rushed for 43 yards and 1 touchdown.
Meanwhile, after a disappointing zero points in their last contest, Syracuse made sure to put some points up on the board against Stanton County. Syracuse took their contest against Stanton County by a conclusive 38-8 score. The rankings were on Syracuse's side, but they didn't forecast quite such a lopsided result.
Their wins bumped Meade to 3-6 and Syracuse to 4-3. Expect the scorekeeper to be kept busy: if their previous games are any indication, Meade and Syracuse will really light up the scoreboard.
