The Riesel Indians's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Tuesday after their ninth straight defeat. The match between them and Dawson wasn't particularly close, with Riesel falling 50-31. Riesel has not had much luck with the Bulldogs recently, as the team's come up short the last three times they've met.
Several Indians players turned in solid performances despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Trent Hickerson, who scored nine points.
Hastin Easley was his usual excellent self, dropping a double-double on 15 points and 13 rebounds for Dawson. Another player making a difference was Elijah Allen, who scored ten points along with five rebounds and four steals.
Riesel has been struggling recently as they've lost ten of their last 11 games, which put a noticeable dent in their 8-15 record this season. As for Dawson, the win (which was their fourth in a row) raised their record to 16-7.
Riesel will be playing in front of their home fans against the Longhorns at 6:30 p.m. on Friday. As for Dawson, they will head out on the road to face off against the Bulldogs at 6:30 p.m. on Friday. Marlin will be looking to extend their current ten-game winning streak.
