The Ball Tornadoes will be playing at home against the Wisdom Generals at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. One thing working in Ball's favor is that they have now posted big point totals in their last seven matches.
Ball can now show off eight landslide victories after their most recent contest on Friday. They blew past Northside, posting a 72-0 win on the road. Given Ball's advantage in MaxPreps' Texas football rankings (they are ranked 368th, while Northside is ranked 1191st), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.
Ball got their win on the backs of several key players, but it was Kyden Barker out in front who threw for 214 yards and three touchdowns while completing 87.5% of his passes, and also punched in a touchdown on the ground. Justis Thomas was another key contributor, rushing for 114 yards and a touchdown.
Meanwhile, Wisdom was beaten by Sterling 34-6 on Saturday. It was the first time this season that Wisdom let down their fans at home.
Ball's victory was their tenth straight on the road (dating back to last season), which bumped their overall record up to 8-1. They've been dominating during the contests in that stretch too, as they've won by an average of 53.4 points. As for Wisdom, their loss dropped their record down to 7-2.
Everything came up roses for Ball against Wisdom in their previous meeting back in November of 2022 as the team secured a 58-0 victory. Will Ball repeat their success, or does Wisdom have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
