Volleyball Recap: Webber Starts Season with Victory on the Road

Webber had to kick off their season on the road on Tuesday, but they showed no ill effects. They walked away with a 2-0 win over the Pope County Pirates. The victory continues a trend for the Trojans in their matchups with the Pirates: they've now won five in a row.

Webber easily took the second set, but they let things get interesting in the other. The final score came out to 25-19, 25-12.

Pope County's defeat dropped their record down to 0-2.

Webber and Pope County will both get their first taste of in-conference action in their upcoming games. The Trojans will take on rival Wayne City at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Meanwhile, Pope County is set to face off against their familiar foe Gallatin County at 6:00 p.m. on Wednesday.
