If Weeki Wachee hoped to take revenge for the 70-62 defeat against they when the teams met, then they were left disappointed.
Several Hornets players turned in solid performances, despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Jean Garcia, who scored 23 points. Isaac Priester was another key contributor, scoring 14 points.
Weeki Wachee has been struggling recently, as they've lost six of their last seven matches, which put a noticeable dent in their 5-13 record this season. As for Citrus, their win ended a six-game drought at home and bumped them up to 3-13.
Weeki Wachee will take on Central at 5:00 p.m. on Saturday. Central has been dominant on offense recently, as they've racked up an incredible 325 points over their last five games. Citrus won't have much time to rest: their next contest is against Chiefland at 6:00 p.m. on January 20th. Chiefland is hoping to put an end to a three-game streak of away losses.
