Virginia Episcopal School was given a dose of their own medicine in this game as Woodberry Forest apparently hadn't forgotten their defeat the last time these teams played back in January of 2021.
Virginia Episcopal School's defeat came despite a true team effort from the offense, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Vuk Stanic, who scored 12 points along with nine rebounds and four blocks. Another player making a difference was Billy Koudelka, who scored seven points along with 11 rebounds and two steals.
Even though they lost, Virginia Episcopal School smashed the offensive glass and finished the game with 19 offensive rebounds. That's the most offensive rebounds they've managed all season.
Virginia Episcopal School now has a losing record at 6-7. As for Woodberry Forest, the win makes it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 5-7.
Virginia Episcopal School will head out on the road to take on Eastern Mennonite at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Hopefully Eastern Mennonite focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up seven on Saturday. As for Woodberry Forest, they will be playing at home against Collegiate at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. The matchup should be an exciting one, as these teams are ranked near one another in Virginia (Collegiate is ranked 104th, while Woodberry Forest is ranked 87th).
