The Kettle Run Cougars lost against the James Wood Colonels back in January, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Tuesday. Kettle Run fell just short of James Wood by a score of 38-36. Kettle Run has now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.
Despite the loss, Kettle Run still got an impressive performance from Erin Porter, who dropped a double-double on 17 points and ten rebounds.
It was another big night for Josie Russell, who dropped a double-double on 17 points and 13 rebounds for James Wood. The contest was Russell's fourth in a row with at least ten points. Another player making a difference was Brooklynn Medina, who scored nine points along with four steals.
Kettle Run's defeat dropped their record down to 3-3. As for James Wood, the win got them back to even at 3-3.
Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Kettle Run won't have much time to rest: their next contest is against Warren County at 7:30 p.m. on December 13th. Warren County is out to stop a three-game streak of losses at home. As for James Wood, they will head out on the road to face off against Sherando at 6:00 p.m. on Friday.
