After a string of four wins, the Oklahoma School for the Deaf Bison's good fortune finally ran out on Saturday. They took a 36-32 hit to the loss column at the hands of Kansas School for the Deaf. The result shouldn't come as a shock considering that's the fewest points Oklahoma School for the Deaf has scored all season.
Despite the loss, Oklahoma School for the Deaf still got an impressive performance from RyJan Reininger, who dropped a double-double on 20 points and ten rebounds. Reininger hasn't dropped below two steals for five straight games. The team also got some help courtesy of Russell Fewel, who scored four points along with three steals.
Oklahoma School for the Deaf's defeat ended a three-game streak of away wins and brought them to 13-3. As for Kansas School for the Deaf, they pushed their record up to 6-1 with that victory, which was their third straight at home.
Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Oklahoma School for the Deaf's road trip will continue as they head out to face Kentucky School for the Deaf at 9:30 a.m. on January 20th. As for Kansas School for the Deaf, they will take on Ozanam at 4:30 p.m. on Wednesday.
