Manchester has gone a perfect 8-0 against Orrville recently and they'll look to pad the win column further on Monday. The Panthers will be playing in front of their home fans against the Red Riders at 5:00 p.m. Manchester is coming into the matchup hot, having won their last three games.
Manchester's pitching crew heads into the contest hoping to repeat the dominance they displayed on Monday. They put the hurt on Fairless with a sharp 8-0 victory. Fans of the Panthers have seen this all before: every one of the games they've played this season has ended in a blowout of 6+ runs.
Not much got past Payton Klockenga, who gave up just a hit to keep Fairless off the board.
On the hitting side, Manchester let Cassidy Perry and Chloe White run wild. Perry went 3-for-4 with two runs, one triple, and one stolen base, while White went 2-for-4 with one home run, two runs, and two RBI. Another player making a difference was Avery Waymen, who went 3-for-4 with one triple, one run, and one double.
They weren't the only ones making solid contact: Manchester kept the outfield on their toes and finished the game with 12 hits. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now got at least eight hits in six consecutive games dating back to last season.
Meanwhile, after soaring to 11 runs the game before, Orrville was a bit more limited in their matchup on Friday. They took a 6-1 hit to the loss column at the hands of West Holmes. The loss continues a trend for the Red Riders in their meetings with the Knights: they've now lost six in a row.
Manchester's win bumped their record up to 3-0. As for Orrville, their defeat dropped their record down to 1-3.
Everything went Manchester's way against Orrville when the teams last played back in April of 2025, as Manchester made off with a 22-0 victory. Do the Panthers have another victory up their sleeve, or will the Red Riders turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
