It can be hard to translate regular season success to the playoffs, but the Mobile Christian Leopards had no problem doing just that on Friday. Everything went their way against Houston Academy as Mobile Christian made off with a 35-10 win. The win was just business as usual for Mobile Christian, who after 12 games remain undefeated this season.
Mobile Christian found their leader in underclassman PJ Brown, who rushed for 235 yards and two touchdowns while picking up 8.7 yards per carry.
Houston Academy's lost despite a true team effort on the offense, the best among them being Rod Jackson, who picked up 104 receiving yards and a touchdown. Jackson's longest reception was for an incredible 72 yards.
Mobile Christian's victory bumped their record up to 12-0. As for Houston Academy, their loss dropped their record down to 10-2.
Mobile Christian will face off against Trinity Presbyterian at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Trinity Presbyterian is also coming in off of a big victory, so somebody is in for a big reversal of fortune. Houston Academy does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
