With a playoff game on the line, the Peachtree Academy Panthers rose to the challenge on Thursday. They came out on top against the Challengers by a score of 64-51. The win made it back-to-back wins for Peachtree Academy.
Several Challengers players turned in solid performances despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Destiny Blalock, who scored 13 points along with eight rebounds and four blocks. Blalock has been hot recently, having posted eight or more rebounds the last three times she's played. Keila Fernandes was another key contributor, scoring 21 points.
Peachtree Academy's victory bumped their record up to 9-7. As for Shiloh Hills Christian, they are on a seven-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 4-10.
Peachtree Academy didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next matchup, a 66-31 defeat vs. Horizon Christian Academy on the 9th. Shiloh Hills Christian will face off against The Habersham School at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Shiloh Hills Christian is coming into the game with three straight losses on the road, meaning The Habersham School will have to defend against a team hungry for a win.
