There's no place like home for University, who bounced back after a loss on the road on Tuesday. They put the hurt on the Anderson Prep Academy Jets with a sharp 12-2 victory on Wednesday. The Trailblazers might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won eight contests by seven runs or more this season.
Cam Rady made a big impact no matter where he played. He looked comfortable on the mound, tossing two innings while giving up no earned runs off one hit. He has been consistent recently: he hasn't tossed less than five strikeouts in three consecutive appearances. He was also big at the plate, going a perfect 3-for-3 with three RBI, one stolen base, and one run.
In other batting news, Ryan Castetter was excellent, getting on base in three of his four plate appearances with two runs and one stolen base. He is becoming a predictor of University's success: when he posts at least two runs the team is 9-3 (and 3-7 when he doesn't).
University pushed their record up to 12-10 with the win, which was their fourth straight at home. The home victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 10.8 runs over those games. As for Anderson Prep Academy, they are on a four-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 1-13.
