After three games on the road, Concord is heading back home. They will take on the Northwest Cabarrus Trojans at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Concord will have to bring their A-game into this one, as they are staring down a pretty big deficit in the MaxPreps North Carolina Rankings (they are ranked 277th, while Northwest Cabarrus is ranked 98th).
Concord's 19-9 record from last season is now well into the rear view mirror after another tough outing. They took a serious blow against Cox Mill on Saturday, falling 79-44.
Even though the team lost, they still had their share of impressive performances. One of the most dominant came from Jaden Reid, who scored 6 points along with 7 rebounds. Another player making a difference was Jadah Freeman, who scored 13 points.
Meanwhile, Northwest Cabarrus entered their tilt with Mount Pleasant with two consecutive wins but they'll enter their next game with three. Northwest Cabarrus took their match at home on Saturday with ease, bagging a 81-42 victory over Mount Pleasant. The result was nothing new for Northwest Cabarrus, who have now won three matchups by 20 points or more so far this season.
Their wins bumped Concord to 1-3 and Cox Mill to 4-0.
