The Argos Dragons lost against the LaVille Lancers back in January, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Tuesday. The game between the pair wasn't particularly close, with Argos falling 63-44. The defeat unfortunately continues a disappointing trend for them in their matchups with LaVille: they've now lost three in a row.
When it comes to explaining why Argos lost, one person who can't be blamed is Sean Richard. Despite the final result, he scored 19 points along with 6 rebounds and 5 assists. Richard scored a full 43.2% of Argos' points, the third time in a row he's earned more than a third of the team's points. The team also got some help courtesy of Kenyan Beldon, who scored 7 points.
Leading LaVille to victory were Michael Good and Collin Czarnecki. Good scored 18 points, while Czarnecki dropped a double-double on 24 points and 12 rebounds. That makes it two consecutive games in which Good has scored at least 25% of LaVille's points. Another player making a difference was Braedyn Foster, who scored 4 points along with 8 rebounds.
Argos now has a losing record at 1-2. As for LaVille, the win got them back to even at 1-1.
Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Argos will take on Jimtown at 7:30 p.m. on Saturday. As for LaVille, they will look to defend their home court on Friday against Winamac at 8:00 p.m. Hopefully Winamac focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up 30 on Tuesday.
