Football Recap: Calvin Adams Leads a Balanced Attack to Beat Portal + How To Watch

After having lost a blowout in their previous game against Lincoln County, Jenkins County was happy to have turned things around on Friday. They strolled past the Portal Panthers with points to spare, taking the game 48-33. The War Eagles pushed the score to 41-20 by the end of the third, a deficit the Panthers cut but never quite recovered from.

Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Jenkins County to victory, but perhaps none more so than Calvin Adams, who rushed for 149 yards and one score on only 11 carries. Those 149 rushing yards gave Adams a new career-high. Another passer making a difference was Justin Wright, who threw for 148 yards and a pair of touchdowns on only five passes.

When it comes to explaining why Portal lost, don't look at Jason Crawford. Despite the final result, he rushed for 83 yards and one TD on only seven carries. Zeke Percell got in on the action as well, returning a kick for a touchdown.

Jenkins County now has a winning record of 2-1. As for Portal, they now have a losing record of 1-2.
