Northridge is on a roll after a high-stakes playoff matchup on Saturday. They sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with a 2-1 win over Elkhart. The victory was some much needed relief for the Raiders as it spelled an end to their three-game losing streak.

Braxton Nagy spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: he surrendered only one earned run on four hits. Northridge is undefeated when Nagy allows one or fewer earned runs, but 10-12 otherwise.
At the plate, Northridge's win was truly a team effort as four different players contributed at least one hit. One of them was Kam Radeker, who went 1-for-3 with one double and one RBI.
Meanwhile, Goshen got themselves on the board against Concord on Saturday, but Concord never followed suit. They came out on top against the Minutemen by a score of 5-0. The RedHawks haven't had any issues with the Minutemen recently, as the game was their third consecutive victory against them.
Kyan Miller made a big impact while hitting and pitching. He didn't allow a single earned run and allowed only two hits while striking out eight over seven innings pitched. That's the most strikeouts he has posted since back in May of 2024. He was also solid in the batter's box, going 1-for-3 with one stolen base, one run, and one RBI.
In other batting news, the team relied heavily on Colton Rapp, who went 2-for-4 with one home run, three RBI, and one double. That's the most hits he has posted since back in April. Braxton Cline was another key player, going 2-for-3 with two runs, one stolen base, and one double.
Northridge's win bumped their record up to 16-12. As for Goshen, their victory bumped their record up to 10-13.
Northridge came out on top in a nail-biter against Goshen in their previous matchup back in May, sneaking past 3-2. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Raiders since the squad won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
