Narbonne is 0-10 against Carson since April of 2019 but things could change on Monday. The Gauchos will challenge the Colts at 3:15 p.m. Narbonne is strutting in with some hitting muscle as they've averaged 11.9 runs per game this season.
On Thursday, Narbonne needed a bit of extra time to put away Rancho Dominguez. They walked away with a 7-4 victory over the Lobos. The win made it back-to-back victories for the Gauchos.
Samantha Dillon spent all eight innings on the mound, and it's clear why: she surrendered three earned (and one unearned) runs on five hits and racked up ten Ks. She has been nothing but reliable: she hasn't tossed less than seven strikeouts in three consecutive appearances.

At the plate, Narbonne got a massive performance out of Elyse Martinez, who went 3-for-4 with one home run, two stolen bases, and three RBI. Martinez is on a roll when it comes to stolen bases, as she's now snagged at least one in each of the last eight games she's played. Cheyenne Bennett was another key player, going 2-for-5 with one triple, one stolen base, and two RBI.
Meanwhile, winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Carson). They never let Gardena get on the board and left with a 24-0 win on Thursday. The result was nothing new for the Colts, who have now won eight games by seven runs or more so far this season.
Isabella Campos looked comfortable as she struck out six batters over two innings while giving up no earned runs or hits (and not a single walk).
On the hitting side, the team relied heavily on Ashannalee Titialii, who fired off three home runs, ten RBI, and five runs while going 4-for-4. Those five runs gave her a new career-high. Another player making a difference was Anaiyah Popoalii, who went a perfect 3-for-3 with one home run, four runs, and five RBI.
Carson always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .949. That's the best OBP they've posted all season.
Narbonne's record now sits at 8-6. As for Carson, their record is now 9-6.
Monday's matchup will be a test for both teams' pitchers. Narbonne hasn't had any issues making contact this season, having earned a batting average of .391. However, it's not like Carson struggles in that department as they've averaged .363. With both teams so capable at the plate, fans should be ready for an impressive hitting performance.
Narbonne suffered a grim 18-1 defeat to Carson in their previous meeting back in May of 2025. Can the Gauchos avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
