2A District 6 recap October 22, 2013
Vian added to the longest winning streak in 2A District 6 this week by beating Hugo, 47-0. This was the team's seventh consecutive win.
Antlers led the league in scoring this week after putting up 61 points on Wilburton.
Johnny Satlerfield threw for 210 yards and 3 touchdowns. He was 9-25 with 1 interception.
Blake Emmert was a key player and the best on defense this week as Panama bested Quinton. The 5-foot-6 sophomore grabbed 1 interception.
Eric Casey was the best running back in the league this week. He ran for 168 yards on 19 carries as Vian lost to Hartshorne. Teammate Rylee Simon added to the ground attack by rushing for 79 yards.
The Indians' Satlerfield and Highley led 2A District 6 in both passing and receiving yards. 5-10 quarterback Satlerfield has thrown for 1,338 yards this season, while Highley has 29 catches for 704 yards. Casey from Brandon Tyler's team leads the league in rushing with 983 yards.
The Wolverines' Casey is a mere 17 yards away from breaking the 1,000-rushing-yards mark for the season. In 124 carries Casey has accumulated 983 yard this year.
As it stands, the Razorbacks are in third, while the Buffaloes are in fourth.
