The Cheshire Academy Cats are headed away from home for the first time to  challenge  the Loomis Chaffee School Pelicans  at 3:00  p.m.  on Wednesday. Both come into the  matchup bolstered by wins in their previous  matches.
On Saturday, Cheshire Academy came out on top against Taft School by a score of  9-7 (the very same score they lost by in their prior game).
 A Sutera was  incredible,  going a perfect 4-for-4 with one  home run, three  runs,  and three  RBI.
 Cheshire Academy  always had someone on base and  finished the game having  posted an OBP of .514. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Taft School only posted  an  OBP of  .273.
Meanwhile, Loomis Chaffee School had to travel to play their first game of the season, but the final result was worth the trip. They put the hurt on Williston Northampton with a sharp  10-1 victory on Saturday.
 Violet Peverly made a splash while hitting and pitching. She looked comfortable on the mound,   striking out six batters over  three innings while giving up   no  earned runs or  hits (and only one walk). Peverly was also solid in the batter's box,  scoring a  run and  stealing a base while going 2-for-3.
 In other batting news,  the team  relied heavily on  Jessica Chieco, who  scored three  runs while going 4-for-4. Another player making a difference was  Bella Cardona, who  went 2-for-4 with one  home run.
 Cheshire Academy took their  win against Loomis Chaffee School  in their previous meeting  back in April of 2017 by a conclusive  11-0. Does  Cheshire Academy have another victory up their sleeve, or will Loomis Chaffee School turn the tables on them?  We'll have the answer soon enough.
