Clearfield (Pa.) extended its winning streak to five games with a 49-13 victory over Central Mountain (Mill Hall, Pa.) on Saturday.
After taking the lead on a touchdown pass by
Christian Lezzer to
Jake Wingate in the first quarter, the Bison led 14-0 at the half.
Clearfield expanded its lead to 29 points entering the fourth quarter. CHS scored three times in the third, including once on a touchdown run by
Tyler Stratton.
Last season's game between the teams resulted in a 35-19 win for the Bison.
The defeat comes as a step back for Central Mountain, who notched a 41-6 victory over Bellefonte in its previous outing.
Central Mountain (1-4) will play a Mountain game against Huntingdon next week, while Clearfield (5-0) will take on Bellefonte also in a Mountain game.
