Liberty County moved up to 346 from 393 in the state rankings this week, the biggest jump in 1A District 4. The Bulldogs climbed the ranks as a result of a 48-0 win over Vernon.
Liberty County took down the Yellowjackets 48-0 last week, the largest margin of any game.
Port St. Joe's offense was tough to stop this week, as it produced the league's top passer, rusher and receiver. Troy Williams threw for 15 and one touchdown and Ramello Zaccarro had 15 yards receiving. On the ground Jarkice Davis chipped in 285 yards.
Franklin County's Logan McLeod and Stefan Devaughn have formed a dynamic duo this season, leading the league in both passing and receiving yards. McLeod has thrown for 121 yards this season, while Devaughn, a 5-foot-8 receiver, has five catches for 90 yards. Davis from the Sharks leads the league in rushing with 531 yards.
Two of the top units in the league will face off this week when Port St. Joe takes on the Seahawks. Chuck Gannon's team's offense has scored 88 points this season, good for No. 1 in the league, while Franklin County has allowed only 182 on the year.
A big matchup in 1A District 4 this week will be when Josh Wright's team takes on the Sharks. The Seahawks are currently in fourth, while Port St. Joe is in third.
Franklin County and Wewahitchka played the most hotly contested game in the league this week, with Franklin County eventually emerging with a 27-26 victory. Dwayne Griggs threw for 19 yards and ran for 153 yards in the win.
