Softball Recap: Make It Three in a Row for Fair Grove

Fair Grove had already won two in a row (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 13.5 runs) and they went ahead and made it three on Friday. They blew past the Ash Grove Pirates 10-0. The result was nothing new for the Eagles, who have now won seven matchups by seven runs or more so far this season.

Charli Stokes made a splash no matter where she played. She didn't allow a single earned run over five innings pitched. She has been consistent recently: she hasn't given up more than two walks in four consecutive appearances. She was also big at the plate, going 1-for-3 with one stolen base, one run, and one RBI.

In other batting news, Fair Grove got a massive performance out of Addyson Nunley, who went 3-for-4 with three stolen bases, two RBI, and one run. That's the most hits Nunley has posted since back in March of 2025. Another player making a difference was Hali Stokes, who went 2-for-3 with two runs, one stolen base, and one double.

Fair Grove kept the outfield on their toes and finished the game with 13 hits. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Ash Grove only managed three.

Fair Grove's record now sits at 8-2. As for Ash Grove, their loss dropped their record down to 5-5.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Fair Grove will venture away from home to challenge Clever at 12:30 p.m. on Saturday. As for Ash Grove, they will head out to square off against Southwest at 5:00 p.m. on Monday. The Trojans have struggled to contain batters this season (they've allowed 8.63 runs per game on average), something the Pirates will no doubt try to take advantage of.
