Cache had lost five straight on the road, but on Tuesday they dropped down to 5-9 to make it six. They came up short against the Elgin Owls, falling 13-6. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Owls this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 8-0 on Monday.

Deshaun Harvey was cooking despite his team's loss, going 2-for-4 with two runs, two doubles, and one RBI. He has become a key player for Cache: the team is 2-1 when he posts at least two runs, but 3-8 otherwise. Mason Carrisalez was another key player, getting on base in three of his four plate appearances with three runs.
As for Elgin, the victory was the seventh in a row for them, bringing their record up to 12-1. Considering they have won nine games by more than five runs this season, Tuesday's blowout was nothing new.
On Elgin's side, Ritson Meyer made a big impact while hitting and pitching. On the mound, he struck out six batters over five innings while giving up just two earned (and two unearned) runs off four hits. Meyer was also solid in the batter's box, getting on base in three of his four plate appearances with three runs and one RBI. That's the most runs he has posted since March 2nd.
In other batting news, Kason Meyer was incredible, going 3-for-4 with four RBI, two doubles, and one run. That's the most hits he has posted since back in April of 2025. The team also got some help courtesy of Graeson Nichols, who went 2-for-3 with one home run and three RBI.
Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Cache will welcome Eisenhower at 11:00 a.m. on Friday. As for Elgin, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Byng at 4:45 p.m. on Thursday.
