Park View extended their losing streak (dating back to last season) to 16 on Monday, dropping their season record down to 0-7 in the process. They were a single run away from ending the streak, but they lost a 16-15 heartbreaker at the hands of the Freedom Eagles. On the bright side, the 15- run effort marked the Patriots' highest-scoring game to date.

Freedom's first win this season bumped their record up to 1-2. The high-flying hitting performance was a huge turnaround for they considering their one-run performance the match before.

For Freedom's part, the team relied heavily on Langston Hicks, who got on base in all four of his plate appearances with two stolen bases, three runs, and one RBI. The dominant performance also gave Hicks a new career-high in hits (two). Casey Figueroa was another key player, getting on base in three of his four plate appearances with two runs, one double, and one RBI.

Park View wasted no time getting back out on the field and has already played their next contest, a 26-0 loss against John Champe on the 29th. As for Freedom, they also didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next game, a 17-3 defeat against Woodbridge on the 29th.
