Lakeside is a perfect 3-0 against Laurel since April of 2023 and they'll have a chance to extend that dominance on Saturday. The Dragons will host the Gators at 11:00 a.m. Keep an eye on the score for this one: the two teams posted some lofty run totals in their previous games.
Having struggled with five defeats in a row, Lakeside turned things around against Struthers on Thursday. They had just enough and edged out the Wildcats 12-11. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest win the Dragons have posted against the Wildcats since April 4, 2019.

Lakeside saw five different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Lyla Hamilton, who went a perfect 4-for-4 with four stolen bases, three runs, and four RBI. Those four hits gave Hamilton a new career-high. Another was Keeley Faenza, who went 2-for-4 with two runs, two RBI, and one double.
Meanwhile, Laurel gave up the first runs on Friday, but they didn't let that get them down. They walked away with a 13-10 victory over Beaumont School.
Mia Kwon and Kemy Cistone did most of the damage at the plate: Kwon went 1-for-4 with four runs and one double, while Cistone went 2-for-5 with two runs, one stolen base, and one double. Cistone has been hot, having posted at least one stolen base the last six times she's played. The team also got some help courtesy of Caitlyn Vigh, who went 2-for-4 with two RBI and one run.
Laurel kept the outfield on their toes and finished the game with 12 hits. They are 8-1 when they post 11 or more hits.
Lakeside's win bumped their record up to 3-11. As for Laurel, their victory bumped their record up to 9-5.
Everything went Lakeside's way against Laurel in their previous matchup back in May of 2025, as Lakeside made off with an 18-6 win. Do the Dragons have another victory up their sleeve, or will the Gators turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
