Softball Recap: Vinalhaven Beats Wiscasset for Their Fourth Straight Victory

Vinalhaven had already won three in a row (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 14.7 runs) and they went ahead and made it four on Thursday. They never let the Wiscasset Wolverines get on the board and left with a 10-0 victory. While the Vikings didn't have the best season last year (they finished 4-9), it's starting to look like those struggles are a thing of the past.

Vinalhaven's win bumped their record up to 5-1. As for Wiscasset, they have been struggling recently as they've lost four of their last five matchups. That's put a noticeable dent in their 2-7 record this season.

Coincidentally, Vinalhaven and Wiscasset will both be playing Richmond the next time they take the field. The Vikings will host the Bobcats at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, while the Wolverines will host them at 4:00 p.m. on Monday.
