The World of Inquiry Griffins will head out on the road to face off against the Early College Sharks at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday. World of Inquiry will be strutting in after a win while the Sharks will be coming in after a defeat.
World of Inquiry had to endure a four-game losing streak, but that streak is no more. They narrowly escaped with a win as the squad sidled past Wilson Magnet 73-70. Having run the score up that high, both teams probably have some extra defensive drills coming up.
Diego Martinez was his usual excellent self, scoring 24 points along with two steals and two blocks. It was the first time this season that he posted two or more blocks. Another player making a difference was Jaedon Adams, who scored 16 points along with two steals.
Meanwhile, Early College's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Tuesday after their fifth straight defeat. They had to suffer through a rough 90-40 loss at the hands of Wilson Magnet.
World of Inquiry's victory bumped their record up to 7-10. As for Early College, their loss was their third straight on the road, which dropped their record down to 1-8.
World of Inquiry strolled past the Sharks when the teams last played back in January by a score of 62-46. The rematch might be a little tougher for World of Inquiry since the team won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
